Wild Capsicum Baccatum (CP 203)
From the Christopher Phillips Rare Seed Collection R4--Release #4 on November 15, 2014. This unusual, rare variety is a wild Capsicum baccatum (termed C. baccatum var. baccatum). The most common known peppers in the Capsicums baccatum family are the domesticated type: Capsicum baccatum var. pendulum (i.e., Aji Amarillo, Aji Verde, and others). This wild baccatum is very thin walled and extremely juicy with a medium burn. It is a very good producer. Pods reach about 1 inch in length. They have some traits of a pequin type, but different flavor profile.
Seeds can take up to 6-8 weeks for proper germination.
