This stunning Mexican heirloom from the famous Oaxaca region is a favorite due to its smoky tones and fruity aroma. It is mild in heat and pods ripen orange / yellow. This Capsicum annuum is one of the three main peppers used to make authentic Mexican mole dishes. The other two well-known varieties from the Oaxaca region in the same family are Chilhaucle Rojo (Red) and Chilhaucle Negro (brown). The skin on this yellow variety can be thick and is best roasted and peeled off.
