Bih Jolokia Caramel (CP 289)

- +

From the Christopher Phillips Rare Seed Collection R8--Release #8 on October 29, 2015 --- Christopher recently released the Bih Jolokia Black (CP 290).  This Capsicum chinense is its sister variety that ripens to a beautiful caramel color and has a very similar pod shape. The original variety came from Grant Hustler in Australia.  This Bih Jolokia strain is a little thinner in appearance than Bhut Jolokias, but the productivity of the plants more than makes up for this.  These produce better than most Bih Jolokia strains Christopher has grown.  The peppers are 3-4 inches long.  These have a great flavor and lots of heat.  The heat level is a bit lower than the red strain.

Seeds can take up to 6-8 weeks for proper germination.
